Dear Darling,

Early on in your life, you had a light, fueled by curiosity, love, innocence, and boundless resilience. But now, that luminance has weakened. Curiosity morphs into anxiety, love slips away, and relentless challenges withers  resilience. Hope, once abundant, now feels strained and drained. Life unfolds predominantly within the recesses of the mind. When your environment offers no fertile ground for growth, when basic needs remain unmet, and scars from familial and romantic bonds linger, the prospect of tomorrow can appear insurmountable.

Please know that you are not alone. These waves of numbness and misery are so common among women across the planet. Find comfort in the fact that you're not the first person ever to feel the way you feel and trust us when we say there IS a path for rejuvenation and healing specifically curated for YOU crafted out of every single life experience. This isn't a message for those of us looking for a “band aid,”— a quick fix. There are no self help steps here. This is for those of us who understand that bandaids fall off and wounds get reopened and reinfected. It's for us to find a community who can relate with the crippling moments of unexplained dread and the underlying feeling that the rug could be ripped from beneath us at any moment. It steals the joy and peace out of joyous and peaceful moments and it invites worry and shame. It's okay to unravel a bit, to admit you're in deeper water than you can stand and to say that you feel no hope. Be honest with yourself. Feel the feelings. The pain in your chest and the weight in your gut are trying to tell you something.

If you don't have the capacity to do anything else, please try to find quiet moments in the day and listen to yourself. What are some of the thoughts entering your mind? Do you believe everything you think? (you shouldn’t) What traumas are replaying in your head? Slowly but surely with gradual analysis, you'll pick up on patterns of thoughts and its associated behaviors which will help you to understand yourself more deeply. You’ll start to realize that you deserve to feel peace and happiness and it is obtainable. Pro tip: No behavior or feelings manifest until it has run through your mind first. Being aware of even the way we internally converse with ourselves leads to a steady reformation of thoughts. Search  for thoughts that don’t leave you feeling hollow and hopeless. Release what you can’t control by accepting your realities. More time is an opportunity. You already possess what is needed to climb out of this pit of sadness. Know that you are loved and you can and will overcome this!

xoxo,
